Parent plant stocks
High-calibre parent plants are important to us at JAC Cuttings. Because we have our own stock of parent plants we can also guarantee true varieties. In the next few years we plan to expand our parent plant stock area, which is currently some 7000 m2 and not located near our premises in Rossum. This is because the soil in Rossum is river clay which is difficult to work. We have therefore decided to establish our parent plants stock on sandy soils in Brabant.
We cultivate our perennials mainly in the Netherlands. For this purpose we have a greenhouse available at another location where we can cultivate perennials in 2 litre pots. We take wood cuttings from these plants throughout the spring and summer. We replace these plants every year in September with fresh pots so we can harvest cuttings from the following spring.
